Today I had the opportunity to speak with the Virginia Association of School Librarians. Yes, I did use that as an opportunity to brag about my time as a Library Leader back in 6th grade. 📚

Read Across America is coming to an end and I have had the best time celebrating with my friends at Duffield Head Start and Early Head Start.

Last week I had the opportunity to read DLD to the students at Hilton Elementary School. With the older grades, I often break them up in groups and we analyze the book, talking about the various elements of a good story. These kids never cease to amaze me. They always leave me little notes and drawings behind. I'll cherish these forever.

I've got a fun Meet the Author event planned for the kids of Weber City Head Start today. 😃

It's been an exciting few weeks here at ACB. I visited with students at Yuma Elementary to share the story of DLD and talk about the writing process.

It's the last day of Read Across America week and Liam literally has his nose in a book. We're currently reading this awesome chapter book series. What's on your reading list?
