On Sunday, June 28, at 3 p.m., meet author Kathleen Curtis Wilson, the foremost expert on textiles of the Appalachian region, who has republished her book on textiles, “The Quiet Work of Women: Textile Art from Southern Appalachia,” as well as her first historical novel, “The Fabric of Wishful Thinking.”

Kathleen and her husband Bob Harman owned Old Abingdon Weavers for many years. She has retired to Blacksburg, Virginia, where she continues to write and curate textile exhibits.

This author program is free and open to the public.

We'll have a TEE-Riffic Day with Friends at Hayters Gap Library on Saturday, June 27 and the whole community is invited! The Friends will sponsor free mini-golf and refreshments from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Passawatami Book Club at Glade Spring Library meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month, subject to occasional schedule changes. This month our discussion book is "Project Hail Mary" by Andy Weir and we meet at the library on Tuesday, June 23 at 6 p.m. If you love to read, join the club!
