June is name tag month at AFB! We do this at least twice during the year to assist us in getting to know each other better. We know that learning people’s names can be a challenge, yet it is one of the most kind efforts we can make for each other. We encourage you when you come to Sunday School and worship to take a moment to put on a name tag, whether you are new to the congregation or you’ve been here for years.

Its Time to Register Now! Last year we filled up and we want you to be able to attend this year!

We welcome Larry White as our newly recommended and approved Associate Pastor of Worship. Larry and his wife Rebecca have been members of AFB for three years, both serving the church faithfully in a variety of roles. Larry has been serving as our Interim Worship Leader since January, and we are excited that he will assume a full-time staff role beginning May 17!

The first National Day of Prayer took place in Washington D.C. in 1983. President Ronald Reagan signed an order in 1988 recognizing the first Thursday in May as a National Day of Prayer. Since then, many have gathered annually in churches and public places to pray for our nation, local communities and more. Aberdeen First Baptist will host in its sanctuary a time of self-guided prayer from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 7. You will receive a printed guide in an environment to help you be still and pray. You are free to come and go as your time permits. We hope you’ll join us to pray!

Today the staff celebrated Pam Mathews as our 2026 March Madness bracket challenge staff and spouses champ. Cindy Cornett finished a close 2nd and Deborah Richardson a very respectable 3rd place.

Our team just returned home this evening from Guatemala. Thank you for praying for them and all your support!
