The Brown County Fair has been providing entertainment and promoting family unity since the 1880's. It began as a small county fair where livestock, vegetables, grains, and machinery were brought for display. Today the Brown County Fair offers seven nights of grandstand entertainment for a reasonable price, various 4-H, Livestock and Open Class competitive events, as well as free entertainment throughout the day.

A Century of Memories & A Bright Future Ahead!
Take a look at the oldest building on our fairgrounds! This historic structure has worn many hats over the decades, adapting right alongside our community.
✨ It started its journey as the Women’s Building
🎨 It later became the Home Arts Building
🏆 Today, it's known as the Competitive Exhibits Building
From prize-winning quilts and homemade jams to thousands of blue ribbons, this building has held a lot of county history.
As we look to the future, we are getting ready for an exciting new chapter. In the next few years, this space will be transformed into a brand-new, modern 4-H Community Building to serve our youth and community for generations to come! 🌾✨

Think you can find your way through the Pallet Maze?
Make sure to stop by the Pallet Maze in the Avera Kids' Zone and join us for the A-"MAZE"-ING Race on Thursday, August 13th at 3:15 PM! It's a fun challenge for kids and families to test their speed and navigation skills.
A special thank you to Mike Gage for providing the pallets and helping create this unique attraction. We also appreciate our Junior Fair Board members who help set up and make experiences like this possible.

Dear Dakotaland FCU Team -- Thank you soooo much for hosting the Parking Lot Party last week. It wasn't alfalfa, but the food was delicious! I met so many new friends and my Fair Board recruited 11 new volunteers! Also, thanks for bringing Lee Brice and George Birge to the Grandstand! I'm bringing my entire herd for that party! Not all heroes wear capes... some drive courtesy carts!
If you’ve ever parked at the fair and thought, "Whew, that's a long walk," you already know how amazing our courtesy cart drivers are! They are out there every single day making sure anyone who needs a lift gets to and from the parking lots safely, comfortably, and with a smile.
Not only do our patrons absolutely love them, but our drivers have a total blast doing it! It’s one of the most rewarding (and fun!) ways to give back to the fair.
