The second time she’s been in a show ring was at ADGA Nationals in Louisville, KY. Goldie, AKA Tres Rios H Annie Oakley place 11th of 68 fantastic Junior yearlings. Thank you, Heidi for this fancy little girl♥️

💚 So, last fall we did a thing. A very good thing. A super cool, very knowledgeable friend offered to share goats with us. When someone entrusts you with progeny of their animals, which are a culmination of someone’s knowledge & passion, it’s a gifted responsibility.
So we are super excited to share the news that Jacie & Tres Rios H Annie Oakley won Grand Champion Junior doe under Sam Whiteside. Jacie also won reserve champion Intermediate Showman. And Tres Rios H Wild Bill Hickok won Reserve Champion Buck under judge Sam Whiteside. Sam was very complimentary of the length & structure of Oakley, stating this is what the breed needs. ♥️

😳 Surprise babies!! Soph found two new additions this morning. One is doing well with mama but this little guy was cold, eyes rolled back & not responding. The technique to warm a kid up fast is to put them in a ziplock (don’t need them wet!), submerge them in a sink of hot water. Jem was quick to help with getting warm air over them with the blow drier. The little guy got some raw honey(I swear by raw honey!!) for energy & about an hour later he was standing & demanding a meal! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
