Understand your Mind
Most of us wait for our wealth to feel abundant. We wait for success to feel empowerment, or healing to feel gratitude or relationships to feel love. This makes us victims to our environment. This means we live in lack and emptiness. When this doesnot happen, we look for how to fill the gap; we spend the rest of our lives fighting, manipulating, exaggerating and control.

LEARNING IN THIS SEASON
In this lockdown it would be good for all of us to get an area in which to develop a skill or pick some knowledge.
The survivors of the 21st century will be those ready to learn, relearn and unlearn.

Education is not the learning of facts but the training of the mind to think.

Your degree does not necessarily mean that you have the skills but that you are teachable and open to new ideas.

Learning doesn't only happen at individual level. It is a social activity involving people, the things they use, the words they use, the cultural context they're in and the actions they take.
Learning isn't tested by an examination but by the ability to make a positive contribution to society.

THE LEARNING STAGES:
Learning is a continuous process of life. Every day we are exposed to new ways of doing something. Over time some information or knowledge that we have becomes obsolete and archaic thus the need to learn the latest ways. It is said that ," He who stops learning begins to die". I find this saying holding water and makes sense.
Learning goes through 4 key stages depending on how much a learner knows about a certain topic.
We shall uncover and underscore these four stages, one at a time to help us understand learning.

Stage One; Unconscious Incompetence.
In this stage the learner has no skill or knowledge set yet. The learners do not see the NEED and REASON for learning.
Therefore the educator needs to pay a lot of attention on why learning should take place. The purpose and benefits of learning needs to be well pointed out and emphasized.
Lets focus on why we need to pass on Knowledge, Attitude and skills to Learners.

Education has on many occasions been limited to memorization and information recall. This greatly accounts for the many educated people that are short of skills to a job or a task well.
For education to have meaning, it has to cause learning.
The learning I mean isn't just memorization of facts or recalling information to put on paper then forget hours later.
This learning involves understanding, relating ideas and making connections between prior and new knowledge, independent and critical thinking and the ability to transfer knowledge to new different contexts.
Such learning produces long lasting positive change in an individual.
For greater impact of education than what we see today, educators need to evaluate approaches used in schools inorder to facilitate learning.
