Empowering Women Through Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA): A Report by Action Against Poverty Initiative (AAPi)
We've empowered over 300 women in underserved communities through Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs).
What We Did:
We trained women across various sub-counties including Buhuhira, Bwesumbo, Kyabarungira, Nyamwamba Division, Bulembia, and Kasese Central division, Munkunyu, Kyarumba, Karambi and Karusandara in VSLA management and income-generating activities.
Impact:
Over 50 women groups formed.
Enhanced saving culture.
Improved economic stability.
Skills development and capacity building.

Lifts women out of poverty.
Fosters financial independence.
Empowers communities.
