Meanwhile, trees at BABS in Uganda are growing up beautifully! Very soon these trees will be fruiting and creating income for local women. Thanks Julius and everyone at His Grace Demo Farm. And of course first and foremost, thank you to Trees That Feed Foundation for having the foresight to bring breadfruit trees to Uganda.
It’s been a while since we’ve posted any updates. We haven’t had much going on since the medical camp, but we are still here. I am sharing a wonderful short video about breadfruit. We are hopeful that our breadfruit trees at BABS will be fruiting in January. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1GrxD4DeB1/?mibextid=wwXIfr

We are starting early to prepare for the 2nd Annual Edgar Nsumba Memorial Medical Camp. We are headed back to Nsasa in 2027. I had a quick meeting with Fred, the In-charge at Butoolo Health Center III, Kammengo.
Thank you Dorothy Nantong and Reproductive Health Uganda for being a party of our medical camp for the second year in a row.
Thanks to founder Kathy Johnson’s sister, Karen Bravener, for asking her friends and family to donate to With Uganda for her birthday. She raised $300 for us. If you have a birthday coming up and would like to help us raise money, please message us. Happy Birthday Karen!
The 1st Annual Edgar Nsumba Memorial Medical Camp is in the books. A big shout out to all who volunteered and all who donated. We served over 2000 people. With the help of Sarafinah we identified at least 15 young children with sickle cell disease. That means they can start on medication immediately and hopefully will not experience the kind of pain Edgar experienced and their lives will not be drastically shortened.
With Uganda founder, Kathy Shaw Johnson, repping in Uganda. Thanks Dr Neal Lester for the swag, loved by kids and adults.
