While traditional meals still dominate many homes and eateries, a new wave of Ugandans, particularly young professionals and health-conscious urban dwellers, is experimenting with diet trends like keto, intermittent fasting, and detox cleanses.
From gym walls to WhatsApp group chats, the phrase “I’m on a diet” is no longer unusual. The age of the fad diet has reached Uganda, but what does this mean for a country where both undernutrition and obesity co-exist in different communities?
