Quick Impact Projects, popularly known as QIPs, are what the name implies: Initiatives meant to have a relatively swift and positive effect on the quality of life in the local community where it is implemented. Each one is also fairly inexpensive, with no undertaking costing more than $50,000.

Eastern Equatoria State, more specifically the counties of Magwi, Ikotos, Torit and Kapoeta East and North, are set to benefit from no less than ten Quick Impact Projects, with all of them just having been launched for implementing partners to get the work done.

Among the infrastructure to be built are classrooms, maternity wards, facilities for a women’s centre, a primary healthcare unit, a police post and a perimeter fence.
Since 2012, the United Nations Mission in South Sudan have implemented 35 Quick Impact Projects in Eastern Equatoria.
