The Anti-Homosexuality Act in Uganda criminalise homosexuality with death penalty. Anyone can be a victim of this dehumanising law! No one deserves to die for just loving and being who they wish to be.

Let’s fight the Anti-Rights movement that is growing very strong in Africa. The current Anti-Homosexuality laws mushrooming in Africa are as a result of this highly funded, well planned and strategic movement.

After one year and possibly still counting, the lives of LGBTQ+ people is worryingly becoming unbearable.
https://t.co/zxICRBxeY5

28/05/2024

Online safety for LGBTQ+ people has increasingly become a big concern. Take time to read through our online safety guide.

https://online.fliphtml5.com/amywp/gpzb/

24/05/2024

Since last year, Let’s Walk Uganda has supported over 300+ LGBTQ+ persons with emergency support, this including emergency relocation, rent support, emergency medical assistance, food and nutritional support assistance, transport fares to relatively safer places internationally or around East Africa, among other responses. This clear shows the gravity of persecution towards the LGBTQ+ community which has gone beyond comprehension. Amidst the fears and levels of persecution and violence and against the law that prohibits us from supporting the community, Let’s Walk Uganda is ready and committed to continue offering these humanitarian services and support to the community. We can do this with you standing with us. Support our work, support the LGBTQ+ community in Uganda.

Q***r bodies have always been a subject of discussion, debate, and legislation. Rights to bodily autonomy have been stripped away from us!

A diverse community, is a progressive community. Let’s remember that every person in their capacity contributes greatly to society. Diversity generates acceptance and builds free will. We all deserve to be part of an accepting community free from discrimination and persecution.

14/05/2024

Equality and Freedom, free from discrimination and persecution, loved, respected, included and protected is all we ask for!

The 2nd African Inter-parliamentary conference on Family values and Sovereignty as organised by the speaker of the Uganda parliament and others doesn’t come with anything good but spreading hate and lobby other African countries to follow by enacting discriminatory legislations like the AHA-23 of Uganda. We continue to condemn it in the strongest terms possible the issue of legislation over people’s bodies, the homophobia, hate and persecution of marginalised groups in the name of family values and culture. We call upon the international Community to stand up and condemn this conference and see it for what it is, spreading homophobia and homophobic laws.

Thank you for your support and solidarity with the marginalized and persecuted LGBTQ+ community in Uganda. With your continued solidarity and tireless efforts to free us from this persecution, we will one day win. We continue to call on to take further actions to condemn the persecutive law in Uganda. Remember if we fail on Uganda, many more countries will follow.

Much as so many LGBTQ+ people are denied employment, some unfairly terminated from their jobs because of their sexual orientation and preference, we still wish to celebrate those few of our community members who are working and contributing to their country’s development though unnoticed. Happy Labour Day dear community members.

Yesterday attended and participated in discussions at the launch of United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)’s 2024 State of World Population “Interwoven Lives, Threads of Hope: Ending inequalities in sexual and reproductive health and rights” report at the German Bundestag. Edward’s discussion focused more on the rights of LGBTQ+, towards access to sexual reproductive health rights and how discriminatory laws like the Anti-Homosexuality Act make it impossible for young people especially q***r youths to access these very vital services. He further called for international solidarity, and need to find all necessary solutions and strategies to reach SRHR services to these marginalised groups of people amidst challenges brought by the AHA.

Today, masses gathered in Berlin Germany at the Ugandan Embassy to call for the annulment of the Anti-Homosexuality Act in Uganda, and send voices of solidarity to the persecuted LGBTQ+ community in Uganda and elsewhere.
Thank you for turning up in great numbers.

Let‘s Walk Uganda together with our fellow petitioners against the Anti-Homosexuality Act have appealed to the Supreme Court of Uganda hoping for a more just, fair and constitutional interpretation and ruling against the AHA.
