Acts 10:13-16 (KJV): And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill and eat. But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean. And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common. This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

OF SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCES

We are spirit beings. As children of God, we live and walk in the spirit (Galatians 5:25).

Part of walking in the spirit is knowing how one must respond to spiritual experiences.

This is a fundamental lesson in Christian maturity because there are many who have lost their destinies because they did not know what to do with and in divine encounters.

The apostle Peter in our theme scripture is an example. The Lord instructed him to ‘kill and eat’ thrice, but because of the strong influence of religious tradition, he rejected this instruction.

In 1 Kings 3:9-10, we receive insight into how King Solomon responded in his divine encounter and how it defined the rest of his life. When asked by God what he wanted, the king said, “Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?” The Bible goes on to say, “And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.”

It is not enough to have spiritual experiences. Ask God to give you wisdom to know HOW to respond to and in divine encounters lest you lose what is rightfully yours because you did not know what to do or say.

Praise Him.

FURTHER STUDY: 1 Kings 3:9-10, Mark 9:5-6

GOLDEN NUGGET: We are spirit beings. As children of God, we live and walk in the spirit. Part of walking in the spirit is knowing how one must respond to spiritual experiences.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. I receive it with utmost humility. I am instructed even in my visions and dreams and know what to say or do. I will never miss what You have ordained as my portion through wrong responses to experiences because my spirit is disciplined enough to know what You expect from me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Matthew 5:6 (KJV): Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

AN EVERLASTING HUNGER

True hunger for God grows continually the more you know Him.

Lust, on the other hand, is quenched the moment it receives the object of its desire.

If you want to test if a man is working under hunger or lust, simply study how the things he receives detach him from the presence of God.

The Bible says that those who genuinely thirst and hunger shall be filled. He does not quench this desire temporarily; He fills us with the kind of knowledge that can only make us desire Him more.

David said in Psalm 27:4, “One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.”

This was an experience by a man who, every time He received a deeper revelation of God and beheld His glory and beauty, could only wish to spend more time in the presence of His Lord.

Today, I wish to invite you into this place of relationship with God, that the more you know Him, the more you will want to know Him.

Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: Psalm 27:4, Psalm 42:1-2

*GOLDEN NUGGET*: True hunger for God grows continually the more you know Him. Lust, on the other hand, is quenched the moment it receives the object of its desire.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. It is such a great privilege to commune with You and see You for who You really are. I continually build a life of intimacy with Your Spirit, who teaches me the depth of Your personality and essence. Knowing You is my greatest pursuit now and forever. Amen.

Job 32:7(KJV): I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.

LET THE DAYS SPEAK

Everything created by God speaks – whether it be animate or inanimate. For example, in Mark 11, the Bible gives an example of a fig tree that spoke to Jesus. The language of the scripture is, “He ANSWERED IT…’ This presupposes that the tree spoke to Him.

Our theme scripture tells us that days speak.

What does it mean for days to speak and years to teach wisdom?

In this, the Lord wants us to understand that there are provisions of knowledge released for each day.

Any man with a dedicated life of prayer must walk in this wisdom. In your prayer, you must know how to position yourself to receive the wisdom that has been availed by heaven for that day.

This is what keeps people relevant for ages to come because they receive what the Spirit of God avails daily.

This Monday, this week and month have a message for you. You must attune your spirit to receive and hear what the days say.

Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: Mark 11:13-14, Psalm 19:1-2

GOLDEN NUGGET: There are provisions of knowledge released for each day. Any man with a dedicated life of prayer must walk in this wisdom. In your prayer, you must know how to position yourself to receive the wisdom that has been availed by heaven for that day.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. We are living in great days and I am deeply grateful for the portals of knowledge that are open for me. My heart is yielded to Your wisdom even as it is poured out daily. I am attentive to the voice of this day as it ministers to my spirit and destiny, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

2 Corinthians 10:14 (KJV); For we stretch not ourselves beyond our measure, as though we reached not unto you: for we are come as far as to you also in preaching the gospel of Christ

SPIRITUAL WEIGHT I

If you are serious about your salvation and growth in God, you must seek to have the right estimation of yourself.

It must not be an underestimation because that is false humility. It also must not be an overestimation because that is pride.

True humility begins when you understand this.

More often than not, men who are wanting in spiritual weight seek to exalt themselves. It is their way of compensating for what they lack.

However, the Lord is a God of perfect balance. In Matthew 23:12, He says, "And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted."

Consecration begins with this awareness and knowledge of where you stand spiritually.

You can never break enough for God to move you to the next level of spiritual growth when you assume you are in a higher place in Him than you truly are.

Why do you think a man like Paul could say, "For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God "?(1 Corinthians 15:9). This is a man who laid the foundation of the gospel describing himself as the least of the apostles.

Why would he confess, "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief"? (1 Timothy 1:15).

At some point in his ministry, Paul was exposed to his true state. From that place, God led him to higher realms.

Tell God to reveal your true measure and that in doing so, He will take you to the places in Him you must be, not assume to be.

Praise Him!

FURTHER STUDY: Matthew 23:12; 1 Corinthians 15:9

GOLDEN NUGGET: If you are serious about your salvation and growth in God, you must seek to have the right estimation of yourself. It must not be an underestimation because that is false humility. It also must not be an overestimation because that is pride.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. Thank You for opening my eyes and showing me where I am and where I should be. I will never make assumptions about my place in You because You have revealed my true measure, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Psalm 37:23(KJV); The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

OF SPIRITUAL STRENGTH

The Hebrew root word gabar used for 'a good man' in our theme scripture is translated to mean strong or mighty.

When read in this context, the Word of God says, 'the steps of a strong man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.'

For God to order your steps, you need to be spiritually strong. He requires from you a high inner strength.

Let us understand this ordering of your steps in light of divine assignment.

This means that God is not in the business of assigning spiritually weak men. They may not be physically strong and may suffer some weaknesses in the flesh but it is important to him that their spirits are strong.

This is why your preparation precedes assignment by God. Most men who are eventually assigned by the Lord have been tested and tried in all manner of ways before they are entrusted with the great mantle of divine mandate.

Why is this so important? Because it is the strength of your spirit that will guarantee that you will finish your divine assignment and sustain you through all manner of attacks from the enemy.

Allow God to work in you, prune you and shape you because He wants to use you once you are strengthened, skilled and experienced.

Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: Hebrews 10:39; Proverbs 18:14

GOLDEN NUGGET: It is the strength of your spirit that will guarantee that you will finish your divine assignment and sustain you through all manner of attacks from the enemy.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Thank You for Your Spirit that strengthens my inner man every day. I have yielded my heart to Your work. Break, bend and kill me if You must, that I will be ready for Your great work, in Jesus' name, Amen.

1 Corinthians 2:9(KJV); But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

EVERYTHING IS READY

One of the elemental aspects of faith is the knowledge that God has already prepared everything you need for a bright and successful future.

God does not send you into a destiny that He has not tailor-made and designed for your continued progress.

It is in His nature to firstly make everything ready and then place you in the midst of ready-made success.

So it was in the Garden of Eden. In Genesis 2:8, the Bible says, "And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed."

As you may note, He did not create a man and then plant a garden. He planted a garden and placed the man in it.

So it is with your life. He prepared your marriage and wishes to place you in it. He prepared your ministry and desires to establish you in it. He prepared your career and wants to advance you in it.

Everything is ready. Your part is to believe it.

Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: Genesis 2:8; Romans 8:28

GOLDEN NUGGET: God prepared your marriage and wishes to place you in it. He prepared your ministry and desires to establish you in it. He prepared your career and wants to advance you in it. Everything is ready. Your part is to believe it.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. I rest in the blessed assurance that years ahead are secure. You are my centre, the beginning and end. I know that I cannot fail because when You went ahead of me, You made my future failure-proof, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Hebrews 13:10(KJV); We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.

OF ALTARS AND SACRIFICES

Some people are quick to covet a man's success without understanding his sacrifice.

They may see the fruits of his labours but with no clue as to the amount of blood and sweat that went into the man's work.

Because of this blindness, they may seek to be partakers of the same altar not knowing that the Bible provides that there are altars you have no right to eat from because you do not understand the level of sacrifice that such an altar demands.

If a man gave everything he had in the pureness of his heart to the Lord because he is zealous for the advancement of the gospel, you have no right to eat on the same altar with that man if there are things you can withhold from the Lord.

If a man labours day and night to evangelise to the extent of almost losing his own life because he must draw souls into the kingdom of God, you have no right to eat on the same altar if your approach to soul-winning is to do it only when you feel like.

If a man is continually dealt with by God to love earnestly his enemies and those who hate him without cause, you have no right to eat on the same altar when you lash out at people for the slightest offence.

Before you seek the privileges of an altar, you must first understand its sacrifices.

Praise God!
FURTHER STUDY: 2 Corinthians 12:15; 2 Corinthians 4:8-18

GOLDEN NUGGET: Before you seek the privileges of an altar, you must first understand its sacrifices.

PRAYER: My Father, I thank You for this word. I receive this wisdom with humility. Thank You for stirring in me the zeal that gives all and holds nothing back from You. I yield to Your Spirit to work through me and break me for whatever purpose You have designed for my life, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Mark 16:17-18(KJV); And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

HOW THE MIRACULOUS WORKS

The power to perform miracles was given to the Church as a generic form of power.

It does not belong to a select few. The language of the scriptures is, 'these signs shall follow them that believe.'

But how does this realm of miracles work?

If you open a blind eye today, can you open a blind eye next week?

If you heal a lame man in Kampala, can you heal a lame man in New York City?

Some believers tend to limit themselves by assuming that miracle-working power functions only on a one-off basis.

That is not true, child of God.

What you must understand is that these miracles also represent realms in the spirit.

If you open a blind eye, heal a broken bone or open a deaf ear, you can do it anywhere and at any time because that miracle is proof that you have conquered the realm of blind eyes, broken bones or deaf ears. The next time you meet a blind eye or deaf ear, you approach it with the boldness of one who has authority in that realm.

Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY: 1 Corinthians 12:28; Luke 10:19

GOLDEN NUGGET: Miracles represent realms in the spirit.

PRAYER: My Father, I thank You for this word. Thank You for Your miracle- working power that flows through my veins. I am a demonstrator of the Spirit and no manner of infirmity intimidates me. I show forth your glory as Your Spirit works mightily through me, in Jesus' name, Amen.
