Lack of access to basic education is a major challenge that has brought about a recurring cycle of poverty.

With 7 out of 10 boys dropping out of school before the age of 14 and girls dropping out even as early as 9 years, this is mainly due to the extreme poverty faced by the people, with very limited opportunities to afford the very basic educational necessities like books, pencils, pens and other scholastic materials.

This is a major cause of school drop outs which results to early marriages and no chance to a decent future.
