Following the July 2024 launch of the Lake Victoria Logistics (LVL)
Facility in Bukasa-Bwerenga, Kawuku, Uganda made a bold move in
export logistics. With 14 tanks holding 70 million litres, a 256-meter
jetty and two fuel tankers, this hub is built for efficiency.
It’s expected to cut transport costs by 50% and reduce emissions by
90,000 tons per trip a big deal for a landlocked country.
This isn’t just better logistics; it’s a smarter way to trade.
But here’s the question:
Is this enough to shift Uganda’s export game or do we need
more than infrastructure to truly compete?

But here’s the big question, As Uganda, do we really have the storage capacity we need? Can we reliably store both temperature-sensitive goods at scale or are our systems failing producers before the market even begins?
Stay tuned for more insights from an expert as we unpack the realities of storage in Uganda.

Do you know who you're dealing with before handing over cargo or cash? No more ghost clearing agents. Do you get border gridlocks? Not anymore. Unfair contracts? Still signing a deal only for the buyer to change the terms last minute?
