As part of Water Week, on 17 March 2026, the Ministry of Water and Environment launched a tree nursery greenhouse at Bishop Stuart University, Mbarara β€” a key milestone in restoring the Rwizi Catchment.

Implemented with BSU and ACORD Uganda, the initiative will supply high-quality tree seedlings to rehabilitate degraded ecological hotspots and strengthen long-term environmental sustainability and water security in the region.
