Resolute Bay, Canada
They say Resolute Bay is not the end of the world, but you can see it from there. I began my own polar career from this small, Inuit settlement in the high Arctic. This area of Northern Canada along the Northwest Passage has always felt like home — maybe it's because this remote, surreal region changed my whole perspective not only on exploration, but also my own life's adventure

Geographic North Pole
The North Pole is a cold, lunar landscape showcasing the vulnerability of our planet. When I arrived at the pole in 2012 — on my own — I expected to experience a true sense of complete isolation. Instead, I found myself gatecrashing the wedding of Norwegian polar legend Borg Ousland, who was getting married. I probably did the first and maybe last gate crash of a wedding at the North Pole. Expect the unexpected.

Glitterati and vibrant is how Bangkok can be described. With lots of floating markets and perfect nightlife, you are about to have the best time of your life at this amazing place. With ladyboys and temples, the place is a unique blend of urban spiritual life. People here are followers of Buddha and the temples are divine.

Almost all the buildings and structures reflect the Chinese origin of this place. You are in for a lot of vigor in Bangkok with not just nightlife, but also some wonderful shopping.

Sardinia — Italy
Famous for its dazzling coastline, Sardinia is a no-brainer when it comes to listing beautiful places. This Mediterranean island is home to the upscale resort area of Costa Smeralda, which is known for its beaches like Grande Pevero and Capriccioli. The island also has caves, cliffs, and amazing local cuisine — this is Italy, after all.

Rakotzbrücke, Germany
Hidden in Kromlau’s Azalea and Rhododendron Park, just a two-hour drive southeast of Berlin, Rakotzsee (Rakotz Lake) is home to one of the most fairytale-like scenes you’ll ever see: Rakotzbrücke, a 19th-century stone bridge that creates a perfect circle when reflected in the waters below. It’s often referred to as “Devil's Bridge,” since the dramatic structure seems so impossible that it must have been built by an otherworldly force.
