So the Platinum Rule states, “Treat others the way THEY want to be treated”. Although it sounds like common sense, it's not as common as you might think. This rule means that you recognize that service is not about what you want to give; it's about what others want to receive.

The Golden Rule demands that every customer and situation be treated with kindness and thoughtfulness. Such consideration of others can lead to companies performing better than expected

Other examples of business rules include requiring a rental agent to disallow a rental tenant if their credit rating is too low, or requiring company agents to use a list of preferred suppliers and supply schedules.
