Prayer can be done in two ways: privately and in groups, and both are shown in the life of Jesus.
Private prayer is when a person prays alone. Jesus did this often, for example in Luke 5:16, where He withdrew to lonely places to pray.
Group prayer is when people pray together. Jesus also did this with His disciples, such as in Luke 9:28–29, when He took Peter, John, and James to the mountain to pray.
Both forms are important: private prayer builds personal relationship with God, while group prayer builds unity among believers.
