Empowering youth and women through the green economy is a strategic approach to helping them achieve economic independence and build sustainable livelihoods.
Through opportunities such as modern beekeeping using improved hives, efficient honey production techniques, and better market access youth and women can generate reliable income from natural resources without degrading the environment.
This approach reduces dependency on surrounding communities while strengthening their capacity to make informed economic and social decisions.
At the same time, the green economy contributes to environmental conservation by minimizing the depletion of natural resources, ensuring that future generations inherit a healthy and productive ecosystem.
By investing in education, green skills training, and access to resources and finance, we can foster resilient, self-reliant communities that value and protect their environment. This is not only a pathway out of poverty, but also a practical step toward sustainable development.

Building climate awareness where it matters most.
through the Youth Voices for Climate Action Project is working closely with community environmental committees to strengthen local leadership on climate issues.
By providing training these committees are empowered to raise awareness and guide their communities in understanding climate impacts, rights, and practical solutions.
This approach ensures that knowledge is not only shared, but owned and sustained at the local level.
When communities are informed and empowered, they become powerful drivers of change.

Child abuse is an undeniable reality, with lasting impacts on a child’s physical health and psychological well-being. In Shinyanga, the problem persists, with a significant proportion of children experiencing some form of abuse.
Through the Keeping School Children Project, funded by Women Fund Tanzania, has taken targeted steps to address this challenge. The initiative established 14 school child safety
desks and 16 junior councils, while training 18 teachers on child protection systems, including how to properly report abuse cases.
The project also supported schools in setting up child-friendly reporting mechanisms, such as suggestion boxes, making it easier and safer for children to speak out.
These efforts have led to increased reporting of abuse cases and improved responsiveness from parents and caregivers, teachers, and government authorities, an important shift toward stronger child protection and accountability.
