MILESTONE: Bima Kitonga Reaches New Heights with 500,000 Policies Issued

The first-of-its-kind fuel embedded life insurance cover in Tanzania, ‘Bima Kitonga’ hit another major milestone.

Launched on 1st September 2021, the initiative, designed in a way that customers paying a minimum of TZS 10,000 for their fuel digitally using Selcom Pay at Puma Energy station, anywhere in Tanzania, gives an embedded 7-day personal life & accident cover.

The cover underwritten by Sanlam Tanzania in partnership with TanManagement Insurance Brokers Limited, Selcom Tanzania and Puma Energy aims to add value to the purchase of Fuel from all Puma Energy Stations across the country. It may well pave the way for others in the efforts of reaching the Government Insurance pe*******on targets of 2028.
