ESAMI continues to contribute to global innovation dialogue at the ISPIM Conference in Bangkok, Thailand.

Today, Dr. Nuwagaba presented a paper highlighting insights and perspectives from the region, while Dr. David Kalaba, ESAMI Deputy Director General, served as the Lead Moderator for a session on Partnerships and Collaborations.

Their participation underscores ESAMI’s growing role in shaping conversations on innovation, collaboration, and institutional development on the global stage.

What does it take to build a public service ready for the future of Africa? Not just policies, but partnerships, shared learning, and the courage to think beyond borders. That spirit of collaboration was alive today in Naivasha as we brought together leaders committed to strengthening public service across our region. I had the honour of presiding over the opening of the Joint Technical Committee meeting between Kenya’s State Department for Public Service & Human Capital Development and the Eastern and Southern African Management Institute (ESAMI). Joined by ESAMI Director General Dr. Peter Kiuluku and our technical teams, we began two days of discussions on implementing our Pan-African MoU on capacity building for public servants. Our message is simple: a strong nation is built by capable public servants. Through regional collaboration we are investing in a competent, future-ready workforce that delivers results for wananchi.
