"We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Nishma's family for their generous donation in memory of Nirmala (Nimu) Anil Bakrania, who was a guiding light for vulnerable children in Arusha. In her honor, their support allowed us to install five window frames (without glass) at Helping Hands School. This is just the beginning—next, we aim to add glass panes and complete another roofless classroom that urgently needs finishing. We call on friends from around the world to join us in this ongoing effort—every contribution, big or small, makes a difference. Thank you all for your continued support.

"Today, I had the privilege of visiting Helping Hands Development Center’s free school in Kilimanjaro. It was a joy to spend time with the bright, new faces—our recently enrolled kids for 2026. They were so happy to meet me, and the energy was truly uplifting. I was also nice to meet Teacher Eliza, who recently moved from Helping Hands in Tanga—known as the Susan Center—which had to pause for a while due to some issues with the local government and surrounding community. It was crucial to raise awareness about the importance of education—ensuring that children can attend school without fear of changing their faith. I can’t wait to see them grow."

NEWS 📰
Thank You to Our Donors
At Helping Hands Development Center, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our incredible supporters, particularly Nelson Chami from Tanzania and Natal Martel from Canada, who founded our organization in two thousand nine. Their vision and commitment laid the foundation for our mission to assist vulnerable children and families in our community.
Since then, the Gobin family from the USA has played a vital role in supporting HHDC. As our current sponsors, they provide essential resources that keep the organization running smoothly. Without their generous contributions, covering essential costs—from daily operations to maintaining our website—would have been nearly impossible. Their ongoing support enables us to continue our mission and reach more children in need.
The Gobin family's dedication to our initiatives reinforces the vision and goals set forth by our founders. Together, they embody the spirit of our organization, working towards creating a brighter future for the children we serve. Their commitment ensures that we can provide quality education, food security, and a safe environment for children to grow and thrive.
Our Vision and Goals
When HHDC was founded, our vision was clear: to create positive change in our community by addressing the needs of vulnerable children and young mothers. Our goals include providing access to education, ensuring food security, and fostering a safe environment for children to grow and thrive.
Thanks to the ongoing support of donors like the Gobin family and the foundational efforts of Nelson Chami and Natal Martel, we are able to pursue these goals each month. We invite everyone to join us in this journey, as every contribution makes a significant difference in the lives of those we serve.
