✨ A landmark moment for HIMD! On Saturday, our board and senior staff traveled to Olkejulenderit, a site graciously offered by the Local Government Authority. This land will house a daycare for children, a health center, and a one-stop support center—bringing essential services much closer to local villagers.
During our meeting with LGA officials, we discussed how this project aligns with HIMD’s mission to protect, empower, and serve marginalized communities. This partnership is a big step toward healing, connection, and sustainable development in the region.
A special thaHearts of Sunshine e.V. for championing this vision. Together, we are building a stronger, healthier future. 💚

On Saturday, 15 November 2025, HIMD convened a powerful board and staff meeting—an evening of reflection, planning, and shared vision.
We reviewed our annual report together: highlighting what we’ve accomplished, acknowledging where we’ve struggled, and mapping out our path forward.
We conducted data protection training, equipping our board with the knowledge they need to uphold privacy and policy rigor. Importantly, the core data protection policies we’ve been developing were officially approved.
We also charted a course for our Annual General Assembly (AGA), ensuring we remain transparent, accountable, and inclusive in our governance.
The energy in the room was electric—rooted in commitment, collaboration, and a deep belief in HIMD’s mission to uplift marginalized communities. This session has strengthened our foundation as we scale impact in 2025 and beyond.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to these conversations. Together, we are building a brighter future. 💛
