We are incredibly proud to share the journey of our Founder and Executive Director, Mackrine Novatus Rumanyika. On February 5, 2026, Mackrine was honored at the Anti-GBV Awards 2025 ceremony as the Women’s Champion in Child Welfare and Protection
This prestigious award follows her 2024 national recognition as one of only 16 "Champions of Change" for her innovative work in preventing child marriage Through her leadership at HIMD, she has moved beyond mere rescue to total mindset transformation within our communities
