A community with quality education accessibility, healthy lifestyles, environment protection and gender empowerment.

ABC Bicycles envisions a Tanzania where communities have access to high-quality bicycles that can enhance the livelihoods of the people. We partner with Velafrica to provide wholesale and retail bicycles in several regions but seek to go much further in the impact we make with our partnership. We provide several programs, workshops and events that help us reach some of Tanzania’s most vulnerable c

We are proud to introduce the first cohort of our Bikepreneur4Mobility Actors program, a specialized vocational training initiative designed to build professional bicycle mechanics skills and strengthen sustainable mobility at the community level.

The program creates opportunities for youth from NGOs, communities, and organizations working to improve sustainable mobility and looking to build technical capacity within their communities.

Through hands-on training, participants are developing the skills to repair, maintain, and service bicycles, helping ensure that bicycles remain a reliable and sustainable mobility solution.

A special thank you to our current partners Gijs Khaisi Manura , Africa Amini Alama , for exposing your beneficiaries to this opportunity and supporting young people to access skills that can create pathways to employment and entrepreneurship.

Bike Club on the Wheels🚲

Our Bike Club activation in Manyarabrought students together with our mechanics for their first hands-on training in basic bicycle maintenance and repair.

Beyond learning how to keep their bicycles on the road, the club creates a space for students to engage in bicycle-related activities, share knowledge, and promote cycling within their school and the wider community.

By empowering students with practical skills and building active cycling clubs, we are helping bicycles become more than just a means of transport they become a tool for learning, connection, and community awareness.

This week, our team had a highly productive session at the Babati District Council.

As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability, we presented our semi-annual Manyara region progress report to the Executive Director, Hon. Anna Mbogo.

We also had the valuable opportunity to align with the Heads of the Secondary Education and Community Development departments to discuss strategies for strengthening our impact across the district.

We sincerely thank the Babati DC leadership and So They Can for their exceptional cooperation and dedication to empowering communities through sustainable mobility in Manyara.

Distribution creates access. Maintenance sustains it. 🚲🔧🌍

20/07/2026

🚲 For one month, my bicycle couldn’t take me to school.

For this student, a mechanical breakdown meant losing the reliable transportation she depended on every day. Like many students in rural communities, walking long distances became her only option while her bicycle remained out of service.

Today, that changed.

With the arrival of the ABC Impact mechanics, her bicycle is back on the road ready to carry her safely to school once again.

This is why bicycle maintenance is a critical part of our Bike2School program. Our vision doesn’t end with distributing bicycles; it continues by ensuring they remain safe, reliable, and functional for the students who depend on them every single day.

Every repaired bicycle means another student can continue their education without unnecessary barriers.

A heartfelt thank you to our partner for making this maintenance program possible.

Together, we’re not only distributing bicycles we’re keeping them rolling and ensuring they continue transforming lives through sustainable mobility.

A bicycle’s journey doesn’t end when it is distributed it continues every day on the road to education.

This week marks the first bicycle maintenance phase of 2026 in Manyara, where our technical team is servicing bicycles under the Bike2School program to ensure they remain safe and reliable for students.

Regular maintenance is a vital part of our commitment. It extends the life of every bicycle, keeps students riding safely, and ensures that access to education is never interrupted because of a mechanical problem.

A sincere thank you to our partners and for making this maintenance exercise possible.

Together, we are not only providing bicycles, we are ensuring they continue to create opportunities for years to come.
