7 Days 6 Nights Tanzania Wildlife Safari Itinerary

Overview

This 7-day Tanzania safari explores Tarangire, the Serengeti, and the Ngorongoro Crater. Enjoy rich wildlife, scenic landscapes, and expertly guided game drives while staying in comfortable lodges and tented camps for a true African safari experience.

Day 1: Arrival – Transfer to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional safari guide. You will then be transferred to Arusha for relaxation after your journey.
• Meals: Dinner
• Overnight: Point Zone Hotel, Arusha

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Enjoy a full game drive with picnic lunch inside the park.
In the late afternoon, continue to Karatu for overnight.

• Overnight: Eileen’s Tree Inn Lodge, Karatu

Day 3: Karatu – Central Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards the vast plains of the Central Serengeti. Enjoy game viewing en route as you enter the park.

• Overnight: Tanzania Bush Camp, Central Serengeti

Day 4: Central Serengeti – Northern Serengeti

After breakfast, proceed with a scenic drive towards the Northern Serengeti, well known for the Great Migration (seasonal) and dramatic river crossings. Enjoy game drives along the way.
• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
• Overnight: Sero Tented Camp, Northern Serengeti

Day 5: Full Day Game Drive – Northern Serengeti

Spend a full day exploring the Northern Serengeti, focusing on wildlife around the Mara River. Expect to see large herds of wildebeest, zebras, big cats, and many other species.
• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
• Overnight: Sero Tented Camp, Northern Serengeti

Day 6: Northern Serengeti – Central Serengeti

After breakfast, enjoy a game drive while returning to the Central Serengeti, spotting wildlife across the endless plains. Arrive at camp in the afternoon for relaxation.
• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
• Overnight: Tanzania Bush Camp, Central Serengeti

Day 7: Central Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Departure

Early morning wake-up and departure for the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the crater for a spectacular game drive in one of the world’s largest intact volcanic calderas, home to lions, rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, and more.
After the game drive, ascend the crater and continue with transfer to Arusha / Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.
