Today's "National Cat Day." It's a celebration taken place on 10/29 in United States. For those cat lovers who have kids with asthma, keep in mind to protect kids from allergens attached on cat's fur. Keep your kids away from cat's litter box and encourage everyone in the family to wash their hands after playing with cats.
If you decide to move your cats to other places for kid's asthma, remember that "It can take up to 6 months to reduce the allergen levels to those of a home without pets. Your kid might still need the asthma or allergy medications used previously."--quoted from "KidsHealth.org org"
For both your beloved, cats or children, more attention and care are necessary!
If My Child Has Asthma, Can We Keep Our Pet? At least 30% of people with asthma are allergic to animals. So if your child has asthma, consider whether your pet could be producing allergens that trigger asthma symptoms.
