Envelope 是一個以推廣 Drum and Bass 為主的派對單位，2013年成立以來，迄今已參與超過40場演出，以提供高質量的電子音樂為目的。定期舉辦的 Drum and Bass 派對，除了固定班底 Legacy 和 Trent 之外，也積極力邀國內外優秀 DJ 來豐富派對的音樂性，亦與其他音樂派對單位有密集合作；2014 年曾邀請英國 Drum and Bass 兩大金童 Alix Perez 和 Rockwell 來台演出，之後陸續在 2015 到 2019年間分別邀請 Sam Binga 、Fracture、dBridge、 Arkaik、Mala、Fre4knc & Posij、Sinistarr、Welfare，受到 Drum and Bass 癮者的迴響。

"Envelope" 源自於合成器上控制聲音振幅的包絡線，主要由Attack（觸發）、Decay（衰減）、S

ustain（持續）、Release （釋放）四個参數（ADSR）構成。

Envelope established itself as a dedicated and hardworking Drum n Bass event organizer in the Taipei dance music scene beginning in 2013. The DJs that play at Envelope events set the bar high, with founding members Legacy and Trent leading the pack. Well-crafted sets consisting of impeccable track selection make every Envelope event a night to remember. High points to date have been Envelope-organized parties in 2014 featuring internationally recognized Drum n Bass golden boys Alix Perez and Rockwell, both from out of the U.K. Nights out in Taipei are in good hands with Envelope. The name "Envelope" originates from traditional analogue synthesizers. It is an abbreviation for the four stages the envelope can pass through, namely Attack, Decay, Sustain & Release (Sound on Sound 1997).

Legacy

從2009年的派對單位 "BASSNOISE" 到2013年成立 "Envelope"，身兼DJ與promoter的Legacy全心致力在Drum and Bass的音樂推廣。旅居倫敦後，更嘗試把不同的音色與派對場景在臺北獨立呈現並定期邀請英國新稅DJ/製作人來台演出。

Established in 2009 and 2013 respectively, BASSNOISE and Envelope have been responsible for some of the best nights out in Taipei for seven years running. Keeping it real at both outfits has been Legacy, Taipei's hardest-working Drum n Bass impressario bar none. Legacy also has been front and center at all BASSNOISE and Envelope events in the role of DJ, dropping the most discerning Drum n Bass heard anywhere in the city. Hard-hitting with a take-no-prisoner ethos, Legacy's sets display a keen awareness of where Drum n Bass has been and where it's going. Some of that's no doubt from the years he spent in London, the city that birthed Drum n Bass in the first place. Luckily he's back in Taipei, with partner Trent sharing a slot in the lineup. Also thanks to Legacy's behind-the-scenes work at BASSNOISE and Envelope, international DnB talent including Rockwell, Alix Perez, Sam Binga, Fracture, Fre4knc, dBridge, Arkaik, Posij, Sinistarr and Mala have graced Taipei decks. 在學生時期深受九零年代電子音樂啓蒙而自學DJ，並於2003年受邀在AB Koo的活動中首次演出，2013年和Legacy合組派對單位Envelope，透過和各派對單位的密切合作，積極地推廣drum and bass以及各類高質量的電子音樂。早期Trent以黒膠為主要音樂媒界，適逢電腦硬體的發展和數位軟體的不斷進化，他選擇犧牲黒膠無可取代的音質以換取數位化後的自由度和探索空間。目前Trent的設定主要是以midi controller搭配ipad來控制Traktor参數，並應用多樣化的mapping來探索更多的可能性。

Trent got turned on to the myriad possibilities of electronic dance music as a student, beginning with '90s-era sounds. A self-taught DJ, Trent's first time playing to a crowd was in 2003 at one of AB Koo's many underground parties. In September of 2013 Trent joined forces with good friend and fellow DJ Legacy to form Envelope. In the space of mere months, Envelope has established itself as a major player in the Taipei party circuit. Envelope places firm focus on Drum 'n' Bass, whilst incorporating other forms of quality electronic music. Working with vinyl originally, Trent's DJing today preserve the sound quality so inherent of that medium whilst exploring the space and freedom that digital-driven technology offers. Trent's tech skills are on full display in effects-laden sets incorporating a midi controller in tandem with an iPad that take Traktor to its limits and beyond.
