I am a Chow Addict

As long as I can remember myself I always loved chow. As a kid, I visited my grandparents every weekend at their farm in Santa Cruz, Trinidad which had a wide variety of fruit trees. I grew up eating fresh fruits off the trees with salt, chadon beni and bird pepper. Oh, I love chadon beni! My favourite chows as a kid was plums and mango and still is to this day. When mango was not in season I ate Portugal, Orange, Pommechythere and Pineapple Chows.

As a young man with a sales career, photography career and a young family, I didn’t have the time to make my own chow. But being a chow addict, I knew most of the chow vendors in the east west corridor and even though I bought ready made chow, I always enhanced with additional ingredients when I got home. This was the start of the development of my unique chowaddict special season chow sauce that is now enjoyed by many of you.

In July 2018, I was asked through a mutual friend to supply someone with 6 litres of Mango chow for an upcoming event and it got great reviews. This led to another large order for a wedding, and then smaller orders to friends and family.

Today, Chowaddicts’ chows are sold in several sizes - 16oz , 24oz, 32oz and 4 Litres (Party Size) with Mango, Pineapple, Plums, Strawberries, Pommechythere and Green Apple, and delivered weekly to several parts of Trinidad.
