High Performance Cylinder Head engineering Most of our customers are engaged in building high performance engines for racing or private use.
Precision heads is a high performance cylinder head modification and repair facility in Trinidad offering flow bench testing, head restoration and high performance porting. We are NOT a regular auto garage. We do not work on engine blocks. You cannot leave your car here, and we do not remove or install cylinder heads.

Some times a valve looks perfectly ok, but when I media blast all the carbon away, imperfections become clear. At Precision Heads we look for and correct this type of wear by refacing the valve to get a proper surface for resting on the valve seat! These pictures show the progression in refacing the damaged valve.

Ej20 part 9. The final. You can’t afford to loose focus because the last part may be the most important. We vacuum test all installed valves, and set the clearance within .001” of manufacture’s specifications. Time and attention well spent!

EJ20 build part 8. After a lapping valves, a little polishing and a final power wash, now it’s time to set valve clearances!
