Pro-diversity beliefs (i.e. positive beliefs about the usefulness of diversity) have been shown to reduce such discrimination in Germany. Now, consider this: Germans endorse a culture which highly values practicality and usefulness.

Main Idea: Are both, work values and burnout important influential facotrs on organizational citizenship behaviors (OCBs) and what are the moderating impacts of burnout on the relationships between work values and OCBs?

Organizational Citizenship behaviors (OCBs):
(1) Conscientiousness: whereby employees do their in-role works painstakingly and well beyond the minimum required levels.
(2) Altruism: where employees concern and help others selflessly.
(3) Civic virtue: this suggests that employees concern and participate responsibly in the political life of the organization.
(4) Sportsmanship: whereby people have proper consideration for fairness, do not complain but have positive attitudes.
(5) Courtesy: where people treat others politely and courtly.

Results: Yes, work values and burnout predict OCBs. Moreover, burnout moderates/decreases the relationship of values and OCBs.
