Sukan’s new series of paintings come from test papers/sketch pads where people try pens, markers and other drawing tools in art supply stores. He has been collecting these test papers from different cities almost a decade. They are enlarged and made with an inkjet printer without any modifications. | .
Sükan bu serisinde, sekiz yılı aşkın süredir dünyanın çeşitli kentlerinde kırtasiye ve sanat malzemesi satan mağazalardan, müşterilerin çeşitli kalem, marker ve çizim malzemesi denemek için kullandıkları sayfaları toplayarak, bu müsveddelerin hem mahrem hem de teşhirci pratikleri nasıl yansıttıklarını ve özgün toplumsal dokümanlar olarak neler aktarabileceklerini araştırıyor.
Bu deneme destelerinden seçtiği müsveddeleri buluntu nesne olarak ele alan Sükan, bu sayfaları yüksek çözünürlükte tarayıp sonrasında büyüterek genişletilmiş ebatlarda hiçbir müdahele yapmadan Inkjet yazıcıyla fine art kağıda basıyor.
