From 24-31 March 2026, we participated in the “Sportify” Erasmus+ youth workers mobility in Salento, Italy, together with partners from Estonia, Lithuania, Spain and Italy.

🌍 YOU-CYCLE Exchange Event

Yesterday, together with our partners .geranios .greece and .ircem we joined the YOU-CYCLE Exchange Event to explore how circular economy and youth entrepreneurship can be integrated into formal education bringing educators, VET providers, universities, and experts into the same conversation.

Türkiye adopted its Circular Economy Strategy and Action Plan for 2024–2028 and strengthened sustainability through the Green Deal Action Plan ♻️

Youth engagement is driven mainly by civil society and multi-stakeholder initiatives. Through YOU-CYCLE, young people gained practical circular entrepreneurship skills and local mentoring support.

EIG took part in 5-day Youth Exchange in Madrid, from 1–6 February 2026 🇪🇸

The project aimed to strengthen the democratic participation of young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, by increasing their understanding of the European Parliament, EU decision-making processes, and practical tools for active citizenship

Through the program, participants explored ways to make young people’s voices stronger in democratic processes 🌍

Young people ask for practical learning, mentorship, visibility and recognition of their ideas 💬

At the same time, they face pressure linked to funding constraints, weak ecosystems and eco-anxiety.
Youth workers ask for better training, tools and cross-sector cooperation to support youth effectively.

The message is clear: young people want to lead the circular transition, but they cannot do it alone.

The circular economy replaces the old “take–make–waste” model with systems based on reuse, repair, redesign and regeneration ♻️
For young people, this transition creates new possibilities:
- environmental protection 🌍
- creativity and innovation 💡
- community impact 🤝
- new green jobs 🌱
From upcycling to eco-design and sustainable food systems, young people can actively shape local solutions while building future-oriented skills.
The challenge is not motivation. The challenge is access.

We were in Lublin, Poland, for the SYWOR Transnational Staff Meeting! 🇵🇱
Between 17–23 December, project partners; .md came together to reflect on what we have achieved so far, exchange experiences, and shape the next steps of our joint work.
The meeting was a valuable space for learning, collaboration, and strengthening our partnership. 🌍
