With great sadness, we have received news of Big Willie's passing last week. An exceptional referee and a friend with a big heart. We are grateful and proud that he flew all the way in from Australia to be part of our Istanbul 7's family. Three cheers to Big Willie... Hip Hip!

Dear rugby friends,

Istanbul 7s 2015 will not happen this year due to unforeseen difficulties, but will resume in May 2016.

Please stand by for 2016 news soon, as the tournament plans to grow larger and more accessible to all rugby enthusiasts.

A big thank you goes out to our referees, who in love of the game, traveled far, just to be a part of this tournament.

Once again, thank you very much for your support to Istanbul 7s thus far.

We would also like to thank our generous sponsors, without whom, the tournament could not come to existence. With all their support and contribution, the tournament evolved in to a very important rugby event in Turkey and will continue to set the benchmark in the future.
