Mohamed Ben Fredj: a journalist, researcher, and founder of El Media Lab. Mohamed holds degrees from the American University of Beirut (AUB) and University College Dublin (UCD), and has worked extensively on topics related to youth activism, migration, media ecosystems, and social movements in the Arab world. Through his work in journalism and youth capacity-building, he continues to support the emergence of a new generation of engaged and mindful media practitioners in Tunisia and beyond.

This session will explore how young people shape and engage with cultural change in today’s world, from identity and traditions to creativity and modern influences, and how they contribute to redefining cultural spaces and narratives.

The session is free of charge and open to all, and will be held mainly in Arabic and French.

**محمد بن ف*ج**: صحفي وباحث ومؤسس *El Media Lab*. تحصّل محمد على شهادات من الجامعة الأمريكية في بيروت (AUB) وكلية دبلن الجامعية (UCD)، وعمل بشكل واسع على مواضيع تتعلق بنشاط الشباب، والهجرة، والمنظومات الإعلامية، والحركات الاجتماعية في العالم العربي. ومن خلال عمله في الصحافة وبناء قدرات الشباب، يواصل دعم ظهور جيل جديد من الممارسين الإعلاميين الواعين والفاعلين في تونس وخارجها.

We are pleased to share Eaux usées : État des lieux, impact sur la santé, l’environnement et valorisation dans la région de Monastir, authored by Mohamed Elarem and published on Al Bawsala’s Knowledge Hub in partnership with NAPI.

Mohamed Elarem is a public finance expert, civil society activist, programme and project officer, and member of the steering committee of the Open Government Partnership (OGP) in Tunisia. His work focuses on public finance, governance, transparency, citizen participation, digital governance, and sustainable development.

As part of our partnership with Al Bawsala, this collaboration continues to create space for research, evidence-based analysis, and policy-oriented writing on urgent public issues. It is also an opportunity to support individuals in developing the skills and tools needed to conduct research, ask critical questions, and contribute to policy discussions through evidence-based papers.

Dans le cadre de notre partenariat avec Al Bawsala, cette collaboration continue d’ouvrir un espace pour la recherche, l’analyse fondée sur des données probantes et l’écriture orientée vers les politiques publiques sur des enjeux urgents. We are pleased to share Working Conditions for Junior Doctors in Tunisia: A Priority for the Public Health Sector, authored by Loujain Dalhoumi and published on Al Bawsala’s Knowledge Hub in partnership with NAPI.

Loujain Dalhoumi is a human rights activist and a resident doctor specializing in family medicine in Tunisia. She has been a member of the Tunisian Organisation of Junior Doctors (OTJM), where she has advocated for equitable and socially driven public healthcare policies while defending the rights and working conditions of junior medical professionals.

As part of our partnership with Al Bawsala, this collaboration continues to create space for research, evidence-based analysis, and policy-oriented writing on urgent public issues. It is also an important opportunity to equip individuals with the skills and tools to conduct research, raise critical questions, and contribute to policy discussions through evidence-based papers.

It is a pleasure to organize, together with Upinion, a Policy Writing Workshop bringing together diverse participants from Mali, Niger, and Türkiye, held at Majestic Hotel, Tunisia, from 9 to 11 February 2026.

Supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands through the Bridge to Safety project, the workshop included training sessions, group discussions, and presentations of policy topics. It reflected the strong commitment and engagement of participants working to strengthen their impact on the ground.

وبدعم من وزارة الشؤون الخارجية لمملكة هولندا في إطار مشروع Bridge to Safety، تضمنت الورشة جلسات تدريبية ونقاشات جماعية وعروضًا لمواضيع السياسات العمومية. وقد عكست هذه الورشة التزام المشاركين والمشاركات وحرصهم على تعزيز أثر عملهم على أرض الواقع.

Faten Louati is an Assistant Professor of Human Resource Management at ISCAE whose work focuses on strategic management in the public sector and organizational change. Ibticem Elhaj Fraj Ben Zammel is an Associate Professor of Information Systems Management at ISCAE whose research explores digital transformation, online learning, and the societal challenges of information systems.

Sarra Mejri is a social research specialist with expertise in migration dynamics, social cohesion, and youth civic engagement across North and West Africa. She has collaborated with several national and international organizations on projects related to human rights, protection, and citizen participation. Her work combines field research, social perception analysis, and the facilitation of dialogue spaces on sensitive topics. She holds a Master’s in Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law and a degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology.

Part 1 | Sneak peek from the Young Policy Leaders Forum 2025
The forum marked the culmination of 9 months of intensive training, mentorship, policy research, and writing, where Young Policy Leaders presented their key findings and policy recommendations on pressing policy issues.

This program is implemented by NAPI, funded by the European Union, and delivered in partnership with ROSE, bringing together young voices, evidence-based research, and meaningful policy dialogue.
