A successful SPE Timor-Leste Evening Technical Meeting! 27 Oct. 2025

We were delighted to welcome Mr. John Pringle, Director of Aurora Maritime and SPE Distinguished Lecturer (2019/2020), who delivered an engaging presentation on “Marginal Fields: How to Maximize Profit and Minimize Risk.”

With insights gained from his work across the Middle East, Thailand, and Malaysia, Mr. Pringle shared practical approaches to applying a lean, risked development strategy for marginal fields — showing how operators can shorten project timelines, manage uncertainty, and enhance profitability. His colleague’s support and contribution to the discussion were also greatly appreciated.

The event fostered lively dialogue among participants, offering practical insights relevant to Timor-Leste’s evolving petroleum sector.
