EVERWHERE YOU LOOK,
THERE IS SOMETHING
TO BE SEEN.

MOONSCAPE
Laddakh was other-worldly, being the world's highest desert.
Miles and miles of greenless, treeless lanscape surrounded us and we drove across the state.
It made me wonder about the first people who came here, thousands of years ago, bracing the cold, dry, lifeless landscape and found nothing.
But they kept going anyway.

DARK HORIZON
Uusally the horizon is brightest during sunset.
Here was just another day ending and there I was with my camera and an unusual sight found me.

MANTRA
An innocuous shot as I sat by the ocean. Nothing extraordinary to see here, which was why I took the shot.
My photography mantra is simpler:
'Everywhere you look, there is something to be seen.'

DISTANCE
This was one of those moments that reminds me of how far I've come in life. Exactly a year prior to this photo, my life came to halt and I could not see the end of the following year. Then, there I was, in the Himalayas, furthest away from everyone and all by myself, I caught the glimpse of Mount Everest ever so far away.
That was the moment I knew I have a long, long way to go.

LANDING SIGHTS
As we approached Kathmandu, I spent the entire time snapping wonderous snowy mountaintops across the horizon.
Then this dried river appeared before me and I knew I got something special.

GOODBYE YESTERDAY
Growing up by the beach, I must have seen a thousand sunsets.
No two are alike. But as the years went by, I took each one for granted, as though the days were just repeating itself.
It was this particular sunset that I truly realised that I won't be here forever (and I've never even been on a jetski).

Above the Clouds
Riding the cable car into the mountains, I was taken aback by how quickly we ascended into the clouds.
Despite neglecting my jacket, I insisted we waited for the sunset so I can catch the pinkish glow of the mountain only visible for a moment.
And there it was.

SUN BURST
Sitting by myself by the river with a good book, the setting sun above me was blocked by a cloud.
I looked up and saw these amazing rays of sunlight bursting through the clouds.
