ถอดประสบการณ์จาก TPBI เมื่อ Supply Chain ไม่ใช่แค่ระบบหลังบ้าน แต่คือ "เงื่อนไขของการอยู่รอด"

หลายคนมักจะมองว่าเรื่องของ Supply Chain หรือห่วงโซ่อุปทาน เป็นเรื่องของการจัดการระบบหลังบ้านทั่วๆ ไป แต่จากการแชร์ประสบการณ์ของคุณชมัยพร เอื้อไพโรจน์กิจ CEO ของบริษัท TPBI บนเวทีรางวัลของตลาดหลักทรัพย์แห่งประเทศไทย ทำให้เราเห็นภาพที่เปลี่ยนไปโดยสิ้นเชิง เพราะที่นี่มองว่า Supply Chain คือ "หัวใจของการเติบโต" และเป็นเงื่อนไขสำคัญของการอยู่รอดของธุรกิจในยุคนี้เลยทีเดียว

ทำไมถึงต้องให้ความสำคัญขนาดนั้น? คุณชมัยพรเล่าว่า ลูกค้าของ TPBI กว่า 60% เป็นลูกค้าในต่างประเทศ ทั้งอเมริกา ยุโรป ญี่ปุ่น และออสเตรเลีย ซึ่งตลาดเหล่านี้ให้ความสำคัญกับเรื่องมาตรฐานและความยั่งยืนเป็นอย่างมาก ทุกวันนี้ลูกค้าไม่ได้ถามแค่ว่าสินค้าดีไหม ราคาเท่าไหร่ หรือส่งของได้เมื่อไหร่ แต่พวกเขาลงลึกไปถึงว่า วัตถุดิบนี้มาจากไหน กระบวนการผลิตใช้ทรัพยากรและสร้างผลกระทบต่อโลกอย่างไรบ้าง ถ้าแบรนด์ไม่มีแนวทางหรือความชัดเจนในเรื่องเหล่านี้ ก็แทบจะไม่มีโอกาสแม้แต่จะถูกเลือกเลยด้วยซ้ำ

จากขยะ สู่ "พาเลท" ในคลังสินค้า จุดที่น่าสนใจที่สุดในการแชร์ครั้งนี้ คือการเล่าถึงวิธีการต่อยอดโครงการ "วน" ที่เป็นการเก็บถุงพลาสติกใช้แล้วจากครัวเรือน เช่น ถุงพัสดุหรือถุงหูหิ้ว กลับเข้าสู่กระบวนการรีไซเคิล แทนที่จะเอากลับไปทำถุงพลาสติกซ้ำๆ พวกเขาตั้งคำถามว่าจะเพิ่มมูลค่าให้มากกว่านี้ได้อย่างไร คำตอบที่ได้คือการทำสิ่งที่ใช้ประโยชน์ในคลังสินค้าได้ทุกวันอย่าง "พาเลทพลาสติกรีไซเคิล"

ลองจินตนาการดูว่า พาเลท 1 อัน เกิดจากการนำถุงพลาสติกใช้แล้วกว่า 3,300 ใบมาหลอมใหม่ ซึ่งช่วยลดการปล่อยคาร์บอนได้เกือบ 150% เมื่อเทียบกับพาเลทพลาสติกแบบเดิมๆ นี่คือการเปลี่ยนขยะให้เป็นทรัพยากร และทำให้แนวคิด Circular Economy เกิดขึ้นได้จริงทางธุรกิจ ไม่ใช่แค่คำสวยหรู

เปลี่ยน Mindset คู่ค้า สู่ผู้ร่วมสร้าง (Co-creator) แน่นอนว่างานสเกลนี้ TPBI ทำคนเดียวไม่ได้ คุณชมัยพรแชร์ว่าสิ่งสำคัญคือการเปลี่ยน Mindset จากการทำงานแบบ Transactional relationship หรือ "ซื้อมาขายไป" ให้กลายเป็น Collaborative relationship หรือการ "ร่วมมือสร้างไปด้วยกัน"

โปรเจกต์นี้เป็นการจับมือกันของ 4 บริษัทที่ทำงานร่วมกันแบบ Co-developer ตั้งแต่ TPBI ที่ดูแลเรื่องการหลอมเม็ดพลาสติกรีไซเคิลให้ได้คุณภาพ PTTGC ช่วยพัฒนาเม็ดพลาสติกเพื่อมาผสมให้ได้คุณสมบัติที่เหมาะสม SRITHAI รับหน้าที่ขึ้นรูปพาเลทให้ได้มาตรฐาน และ WGCL เป็นลูกค้านำไปทดสอบใช้งานจริงในคลังสินค้า ทุกฝ่ายไม่ได้แยกกันทำ แต่ร่วมกันคิด ทดลอง ล้มแล้วลุก วิเคราะห์แก้ปัญหาไปด้วยกันหลายต่อหลายรอบจนสำเร็จ
ก้าวต่อไปในอนาคต จากการแชร์ในวันนั้น TPBI ไม่ได้หยุดอยู่แค่นี้ แต่ยังมีเป้าหมายที่จะสร้าง Supply Chain ที่โปร่งใสและตรวจสอบย้อนกลับได้สมบูรณ์ การเข้าไปช่วยพัฒนาคู่ค้าโดยเฉพาะกลุ่ม SME ให้แข็งแรงและเติบโตไปด้วยกัน รวมถึงการใช้พื้นที่ตรงนี้เป็นแพลตฟอร์มนวัตกรรม เพื่อมุ่งสู่เป้าหมาย Low-carbon Supply Chain ในที่สุด

บทสรุปจากการแชร์ประสบการณ์ครั้งนี้ ทิ้งท้ายข้อคิดสำหรับคนทำธุรกิจว่าการพัฒนา Supply Chain อาจจะไม่ใช่เรื่องง่าย แต่ก็คุ้มค่าที่จะลงมือทำ เพราะถ้าเรามีความมุ่งมั่นมากพอ ขยะก็สามารถกลายเป็นทรัพยากรได้ คู่ค้าทางธุรกิจก็สามารถกลายเป็น Co-creator และ Supply Chain ก็สามารถเป็นกลไกหลักในการแข่งขันระยะยาวได้เช่นกัน .............................................

Drawing Lessons from TPBI: When Supply Chain is More Than Just a Back-End System, It's a "Condition for Survival"

Many people often view supply chain management as a general back-end system. However, the insightful sharing of Ms. Chamaiporn Uapairojkij, CEO of TPBI, at the Stock Exchange of Thailand awards ceremony completely changed our perspective. TPBI views supply chain as the "heart of growth" and a crucial condition for business survival in this era.

Why such importance? Ms. Chamaiporn explained that over 60% of TPBI's clients are international customers from countries like the US, Europe, Japan, and Australia. These markets place great importance on standards and sustainability. Today, clients don't just ask about product quality, price, or delivery time; they delve deeper into where the raw materials come from, the production process's resource usage, and its impact on the environment. Without a clear approach or direction on these issues, a brand has virtually no chance of being chosen.

From Waste to "Pallets" in Warehouses: The most interesting point shared in this presentation was the story of how TPBI expanded its "Wan" project, which collects used plastic bags from households—such as parcel bags and shopping bags—and recycles them instead of reusing them for re-production. They questioned how to add more value, and the answer was to create something useful from everyday items in the warehouse: "recycled plastic pallets."
Imagine one pallet being made from melting down over 3,300 used plastic bags, reducing carbon emissions by almost 150% compared to conventional plastic pallets. This is turning waste into resources and making the Circular Economy concept a reality in business, not just empty words.

Changing the mindset of partners to co-creators: Of course, TPBI couldn't do this scale of work alone. Ms. Chamaiporn shared that the key was changing the mindset from a transactional relationship, or "buy and sell," to a collaborative relationship, or "building together."

This project was a collaboration of four companies working as co-developers: TPBI oversaw the quality melting of recycled plastic pellets, PTTGC helped develop the plastic pellets for blending to achieve the appropriate properties, SRITHAI was responsible for molding the pallets to meet standards, and WGCL was the customer, testing them in real-world warehouse use. All parties didn't work separately, but collaborated, experimented, failed, and analyzed problems together many times until success was achieved.

Moving forward, following the sharing session that day, TPBI isn't stopping there. Their goals include creating a completely transparent and traceable supply chain, helping to develop and strengthen their business partners, especially SMEs, for mutual growth, and using this space as an innovation platform, ultimately aiming for a low-carbon supply chain.
In conclusion, this shared experience leaves a thought for business owners: developing a supply chain may not be easy, but it's worth the effort. With enough determination, waste can become resources, business partners can become co-creators, and the supply chain can be a key mechanism for long-term competitiveness.
