Blessed Homes works along the Thai-Myanmar border to provide safe and loving homes for children and youth in need.
We want to see children who have a hope for the future and courage to act on their dreams. Høsten 2006 reiste Ole-Jørgen Edna til Thailand for å jobbe som lærer ved en bibelskole i grenseområdene Thailand og Burma. Etter et halvt år på grensa ble han og et Karen ektepar bedt om å ta til seg tre foreldreløse søsken som nylig hadde flyktet fra Burma. Dette takket de ja til og samtidig som de tre søs

**Bowling... with seeds?!**
If you’ve never heard of **St. Thomas Beans**, their seeds are edible and sometimes even used as a coffee substitute. Our youth and staff in Noh Bo, however, are a little more creative with it!
Since it's round, hard, and perfectly sized, they use the seeds to play a makeshift game of bowling :)

The long summer holiday has come to an end, and our students who attend Thai schools are returning to their studies!
We’re wishing all our children and youth a year filled with new experiences and knowledge! We are so proud to walk alongside them while they put in the hard work for their future ♥

🎪✨ What a Fabulous Week We Had
A huge thank you to and for leading an incredible week of circus fun at our summer camp.
From games and workshops to dressing up and ending the week with a fantastic show, there was so much laughter, creativity, and joy shared along the way.
And a very big thank you to the wonderful kids at Blessed Homes for bringing so much energy, playfulness, and heart to the week 💛

A throwback to the last week of summer camp!
After five days of practise the children and youth presented their new skills in a show at a public ground in our neighbourhood!
Fried insects are a common—and very popular—delicacy here in Thailand! Whether it’s crickets, silkworms, or grasshoppers, they are a staple at local markets and a favorite for many of our youth.
They’re crunchy, salty, and nobody can deny they are a good (and sustainable!) source of protein. Would you swap your potato chips for a handful of crunchy grasshoppers???

To stay at the forefront of child protection, our staff participates in regular workshops and training sessions regarding child protection and safeguarding!
With over 80 children and youth in our care, safeguarding isn’t just a policy—it’s our daily commitment. We take this responsibility seriously, working together as a dedicated staff to ensure every child is protected, nurtured, and respected.
From following UN guidelines to adhering strictly to Thai Law, we are constantly refining our practices to strive to create the safest environment possible. Because every child deserves to grow up feeling secure and loved.

In Karen culture, this is the ultimate greeting. It’s their way of saying "I care about you" before they even ask how your day is going.
You’ll never pass a Karen neighbor eating without an invitation to join the table💛

A few snapshots from the summer camp that is currently running at our Youth Center - From language classes and computer classes, to Songkran traditional rituals and sport activities!
The kids and youth have finished around two weeks of the camp and have two and a half week more to go 😃
