These four little faces need something from you… names. 🐱❤️

They originally arrived at our shelter as a litter of six kittens together with their mom. Sadly, some of the kittens were already sick when they came to us, and despite the care they received, two of them didn’t make it.

Their mom and these four little survivors did.

They are now safe in our Cat VIP area, growing stronger, causing the appropriate amount of kitten chaos, playing with the other cats and even making friends with Susie, our dog who seems to have forgotten that she isn’t actually a cat.

But there is one thing our amazing vet Dr. Dany noticed we still haven’t given them: proper names.

So this time, we need your help! ❤️

What should we call these four? We would love names that somehow belong together, so leave your ideas in the comments. Maybe the names they carry into their future homes will come from one of you.

And while their story has a hopeful ending, we also want to mention something important.

We receive many requests from people wanting to leave kittens at our shelter, and unfortunately we simply don’t have the space or resources to take them all. We were able to help this family because some of the kittens urgently needed medical care, but taking healthy litters into the shelter cannot be the normal solution.

There are already so many cats and kittens here waiting for homes.

For these four, however, the future is looking much brighter. For now they’ll keep growing, playing and getting stronger with their mom beside them. And while they’re with us, they could also really use sponsors to help us provide their food, vaccinations, medical care and everything else four growing kittens need. 🐾

And hopefully, when they’re old enough, they’ll leave us for the best possible reason: because someone has fallen in love and taken them home.

These two sweet brothers have been with us since early August and are still waiting for someone to give them the home they deserve.

They are incredibly calm, gentle and affectionate, and the kind of cats that are very easy to fall in love with. Our volunteer Lea can certainly confirm that. She has completely fallen for these two and would probably take them home herself if she could.

Just imagine your next lazy weekend with Nino & Chano around. Two little faces waiting for you when you wake up, two companions curled up somewhere nearby while you relax, and twice the amount of love waiting for you when you come home.

They already have each other. Now they just need someone to share their lives with.

Maybe bringing these two home wouldn’t just change their lives. Maybe they’d make yours a little better too. ❤️

For a dog named Lucky, life hasn’t always been very lucky. ❤️

Lucky arrived at our shelter when he was still very young after a terrible car accident. Two of his siblings didn’t survive, and Lucky was so badly injured that our vet team had to amputate his front left leg.

But Lucky adapted to life on three legs and never let it stop him.

When he was still a little tripod puppy, it looked like his luck had finally changed. Someone wanted to adopt him, and we thought Lucky had found his forever home. Sadly, for reasons outside of his control, the adoption never happened.

By the time it became clear that he would be staying with us, Lucky wasn’t the tiny puppy people had originally fallen in love with anymore. He had grown into an adult dog, and somehow he has been waiting ever since.

Anyone who spends time with Lucky quickly realizes what a wonderful dog he is. He loves coming out to greet people, has that very distinctive Husky voice that means you always know when Lucky has something to say, and he absolutely LOVES belly rubs.

If you find just the right spot, his back legs start digging away like he’s trying to dig a hole underneath himself. 😂

After everything Lucky has been through, he is still one of the kindest and most loving dogs at our shelter.

And now, there might finally be a little bit of luck coming his way…

Rumor has it that someone in Switzerland has fallen in love with him and is trying to make Lucky part of their family. 🇨🇭

Nothing is certain yet, but all of us are keeping our fingers crossed.

Maybe after all these years, Lucky is finally about to live up to his name.

And to that person in Switzerland, if you’re reading this: we think you would be getting a pretty special dog. ❤️

Today we said goodbye to Scooby.

Scooby came to us after being hit by a car. She had an owner, but sadly, nobody ever came back to pick her up. The shelter became her home, and she became part of our family.

She recovered from the accident, but later developed a persistent infection in her foot that never completely went away. Recently, it became worse, and over the last few days we could see that she was becoming weaker.

Today, we found Scooby exhausted in her enclosure. We knew we were reaching the point where we might have to make the difficult decision to let her go peacefully. In the end, we didn’t have to make that decision. Her body had fought for long enough.

Two of our volunteers stayed with Scooby during her final moments. They sat beside her, comforted her and made sure that when she passed away, she wasn’t alone.

It is always especially difficult to lose one of the animals who never got the happy ending we hoped for. Scooby never found another home outside the shelter. But she was not forgotten or unloved. She had people here who knew her, cared for her and loved her. She touched many hearts during her time with us, and she will be deeply missed.

After saying goodbye, we brought Scooby to Wat Saket, where she will be cremated by local monks following Thai tradition.

We wish her story could have ended differently. But we are grateful that after everything she went through, she had a place where she belonged and people beside her until the very end.

Rest peacefully, Scooby. You fought long enough. ❤️

We think Casper might have fallen in love… 🥹❤️🐶

Casper recently arrived at our shelter together with his sister Phoebe, and it didn’t take long for this funny little guy to win everyone over.

He is one of those dogs who just seems to enjoy life. He loves exploring, playing and going on adventures, but once the excitement is over, he’s just as happy to settle down, relax and hang out with you.

He loves kids, gets along great with other dogs, walks nicely on a leash and is comfortable riding in the car. Basically, he’s a genuinely cool little guy who would fit perfectly into someone’s life. 💚

And apparently Casper has already started making plans for his future…

Because since arriving, he has become VERY interested in our beautiful Pixie. 😂❤️ We can’t officially confirm that they’re a couple, but judging by Casper, we’re pretty sure he has a serious crush.

Of course, what Casper really needs is a family of his own. He and Phoebe came to us together, and we would absolutely love to see them find a home together if the right person is out there. But most importantly, we want both of these wonderful little dogs to get the family life they deserve.

Casper has already made our staff fall in love with him. And possibly Pixie too. Now we just need someone out there to fall in love with him enough to take him home. 🏡❤️
