As part of the India–Philippines stakeholder engagement, the delegation from the Network for the Development of Agricultural Cooperatives in Asia and the Pacific (NEDAC) visited the SoroSoro Ibaba Development Cooperative (SIDC), one of the largest agri-based cooperatives in the Philippines. SIDC operates across a diverse range of sectors, including agriculture, consumer retailing, and innovative business ventures such as KooPinoy and KoopSiklo (motorcycle dealership services).
During the visit, the NEDAC delegation toured SIDC’s advanced feed mill facility, gaining first-hand insights into its operations and management systems. The feed mill stands as a critical component of SIDC’s value chain, supporting livestock productivity by ensuring the availability of high-quality, affordable feed to its members.
SIDC’s scalable model and discussed its potential replication across other regions in the Asia-Pacific.
This exposure visits further strengthened knowledge exchange and highlighted the importance of innovation, infrastructure, and cooperative solidarity in building resilient agricultural systems.
