commissioned by Italian distributor Polyphoto SpA to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus’s voyage.

It features unique “500 COLOMBO 1492-1992” engraving on the top plate

These were made up for German Leica dealers as "loaners" for perspective customers to take a "test shoot."
