Prudential Thailand Eye, an unparalleled survey of Thailand's contemporary art scene, held in partnership with The Saatchi Gallery.

Established in 2008 by David and Serenella Ciclitira and sponsored by Prudential, the Prudential Eye Programme is an initiative that nurtures artistic talent. The programme aims to develop arts infrastructure in territories where this is lacking, in order to provide artists with the platforms, support and recognition they need to develop their careers. It works to build networks and opportunities

The Award for Best Exhibition of Asian Contemporary Art is given to an institution who over 2015 demonstrated an outstanding commitment to researching and exhibiting Asian contemporary art. The winning exhibition, Great Crescent: Art and Agitation in the 1960s - Japan, South Korea and Taiwan at Para Site in Hong Kong, focused on a critical period in the social and artistic histories of three neighbouring countries.

This year the Special Awards for Best Asian Contemporary Art Institution and Best Exhibition of Asian Contemporary Art have been opened up to public voting for the first time. Hong Kong's Spring Workshop, a leading institution for the exchange and research of artistic ideas was voted the Best Asian Contemporary Art Institution. Founder Mimi Brown and Director Christina Li collected their Award.

The 2016 Prudential Eye Award for Painting has been won by India's Manish Nai. Using material that was both modest and quintessentially Indian, such as jute and newspaper, Nai’s pieces were and are studies in tedious complexities that, once completed, are presented as a tightly organized unit.
