Thank you Mama Warriors (new moms-to-be) and new moms who continue joining Yoga Adventures Prenatal classes, and our Monthly Special Breastfeeding Talks with Dr. Meera Khorana, MBBS., IBCLC. Thank you dads-to-be who join us too, learning how to support their partners. We love getting surprised by moms who have delivered and join us with their babies during our Breastfeeding talks. It was extremely helpful for moms-to-be to hear recent firsthand stories on delivery and breastfeeding journeys from them. A lot of warm heart-to-heart sharings take place during the talks and class discussions🤰🏻🤱🌸
Thank you dear Meera for your amazing talks each time - your cues, suggestions, advice, examples, case-studies, practical hands-on practice for the girls is so very valuable. Discussions on birth plans with one’s OB are discussed too to help new moms-to-be and new dads-to-be to learn how to reduce their stress levels, discussion on dos and don’ts and advantages of breastfeeding to make their journey as smooth and easy as possible. New moms-to-be are advised to rest a lot during pregnancy, so they can try to breastfeed as much as possible to reduce their baby’s allergies, improve immunity and other areas in the long run. In my prenatal classes, I stress on calming, relaxational along with strengthening techniques to prepare moms-to-be reduce regular aches and pains so they can sleep better and get ready for their delivery. In each of the sessions, so much is discussed and it is different each time. So here’s a shout out to moms in their first, second or third trimester do come join us to invite more joy and calm in your pregnancy journey. There is so much to prepare for, so it’s really important, not to feel overwhelmed and to learn how to maintain a calm disposition with clarity, balance and joy in your pregnancy journey🤰🏻🤱🌸

When I started teaching Prenatal classes in the The Pilates Studio, Ploenchit in 2012, I did not know how my classes helped students during their delivery time and was always curious. It was only during Covid-19 times in 2020 and after that, that I had the opportunity to learn about their delivery and postpartum period to some extent. Especially now that I have been teaching Prenatal classes from my Home Studio since 2018, my learning as a Prenatal-Postnatal teacher has expanded immensely. Each group, each class I teach adds to my learning, understanding and students’ experiential feedback is extremely precious, especially in helping new students who keep joining. One part of my learning is how students try so hard during their pregnancy period to ensure they will have a natural delivery but that doesn’t always happen. As a teacher, I do my best to help in this sensitive area but there are many factors that may prevent it like students not being active enough during pregnancy, seeking help only towards the third trimester, not working accurately on the pelvic area, some unforeseen circumstances, baby’s position not engaged and other factors. Having a mind that is calm, balanced, joyful yet full of clarity to handle aches, pains, sleepless nights & a variety of many such situations is pretty much the aim of Yoga Adventures Prenatal classes🤰🏻🙂 (The yoga experience I bring into classes is from 4 decades of my sadhana/ personal practice, training & experience).
Dr. Meera Khorana, MBBS., IBCLC, a promoter of breastfeeding at the national level in Thailand with her 25 years of experience, has helped me expand my vision of my Prenatal classes even further. Yoga Adventures Prenatal-Postnatal program is extremely fortunate how students are being prepared for labour, upon delivery and their breastfeeding journey through Dr. Meera’s breastfeeding talks. I urge more students to take advantage of her expertise. Students have found her talks, suggestions, support, advice extremely beneficial. In fact, the combination of what is shared in her talks along with breathing, calming, meditative, relaxation and yogic techniques shared in my prenatal classes is ideal in getting students ready for their transition into motherhood. Thank you to all the lovely moms who have delivered now and for sharing their positive cm encouraging feedback. They are most welcome to join the breastfeeding talks free & new dads-to-be are also welcome, so they know how to support their partners🤰🏻🤱🌸

Thanks to Mama Warriors (pregnant ladies) who continue joining Yoga Adventures Prenatal classes. Classes are running twice on weekdays & on Saturdays. Loved the response I received from a new comer who joined the recent Saturday class - “I felt really good yesterday & today. I feel like all the little tight spots that I wasn't really aware of had been relaxed.” After a person has joined my first class, I always check 24 hours later how they felt🤰🏻🙂
The next 8th Monthly Special breastfeeding talk is taking place on this coming SATURDAY 2nd May. This will be the only time we will do it on a Saturday. These special talks are normally on a weekday. Do take advantage & come join the very educational & preparatory Breastfeeding talk by Dr. Meera Khorana, MBBS., IBCLC. Upon receiving feedback from the ladies who have delivered & have attended the amazing breastfeeding talks, they shared that the information was very helpful, interesting, new and beneficial for their delivery and current breastfeeding period. The talks were much appreciated by all new moms, helping them tremendously in their new chapter of life. Moms who have delivered are welcome to join the talk free. Dads-to-be are also welcome to join the talk, so they know how to actively support their partners🤱🙂

What we share is from years of expertise & experience!! Once a month Yoga Adventures Prenatal community has been benefiting from educational & transformative Breastfeeding talks by none other than amazing Dr. Meera Khorana, MBBS., IBCLC. She has been promoting breastfeeding at the national level in Thailand for 25 years, so I feel very fortunate that she is helping my students. Interestingly, the assistance is happening not only during the monthly talks, but also after students deliver if there is a need. Thank you so much for your generous help, dear Meera🤰🏻🤱🙂

A shout out to all Mama Warriors to come join our Monthly Special which includes a breastfeeding talk after a 45 mins Prenatal Yoga session. This month’s 6th breastfeeding talk is on this coming MONDAY 2nd MARCH. Yoga Adventures updated Prenatal program includes collaboration with our very own amazing Dr. Meera Khorana, MBBS., IBCLC, who is promoting breastfeeding at the national level in Thailand. I feel very fortunate that she is helping my Prenatal students understand changes in their body during pregnancy, helping them psychologically, mentally & emotionally, to get ready for childbirth and their breastfeeding journey. It is truly educational and shared very generously by Dr. Meera with her 25 years of experience; Q & A’s is part of the discussion. Husbands are also welcome to join the talk to learn how to support their partners. So far, two husbands have joined the talks & found them very beneficial . Another addition to Yoga Adventures Prenatal program is Saturday Prenatal classes for working women, which will start on 7th March. On the flyer, Saturday dates are marked in red. The weekend classes are starting at the request of a previous client on her second pregnancy. Prenatal classes during the week continue on Mondays and Fridays. A focus on natural childbirth techniques is emphasized in all sessions. She is promoting breastfeeding at the national level in Thailand and is helping my students get ready for their breastfeeding journey & after delivery too if the need arises. It’s been quite a journey starting to teach prenatal classes in my Home Studio ever since Covid times; of course, starting with online first and then moving onto live. Before that I was teaching Prenatal classes in The Pilates Bangkok, Ploenchit since 2012, thanks to & Flow. In my prenatal classes, I combine yoga & some pilates. My experience with yoga has been for more than 4 decades, teaching Yoga for 2 decades. So I share as needed from my yoga & prenatal-postnatal trainings and experience into the prenatal classes, which is well received & benefiting students🤰🏻😊
Thank you to all extremely brave mama warriors who have been joining classes with Yoga Adventures. Truly, you all have helped shape the classes. And a new layer of reshaping & upgrading of the classes has taken place recently by my dear friend Dr. Meera Khorana. She’s filling in an important gap between my experience of teaching Prenatal and postnatal classes with the area of breastfeeding; a much needed area to prepare new moms from the time of their delivery to a precious bonding period with their baby. A big shout out of gratitude to Dr. Meera!! I’m learning so much too along with my students. Breastfeeding not only impacts new moms positively but also their babies in the early years right till later years. She is a neonatologist for the past 25 years and is promoting breastfeeding at the national level in Thailand. So we are extremely fortunate to have her join our classes and help our students🙏🏼🤰🏻🤱

There are so many symptoms that Mama Warriors (pregnant ladies) experience ranging from backaches, calf cramps especially, fatigue, low energy, difficulty sleeping, aches & pains, swollen feet & legs, can’t slow down, etc. Therefore, taking out time to breathe, meditate, chant, stretch, strengthen & work on themselves will really help to relieve many of the symptoms and find the peace and calm within their new growing body.
However, there’s one pose I would like to suggest all Mama Warriors to do to stay healthy, happy & safe during their pregnancy journey - to keep elevating their legs on foot stools, pillows or a wall. From my teaching experience of over a decade, getting into this practice right from the first trimester helps new moms in countless ways. It relaxes their tired feet and legs from standing or walking all day. When they raise their legs up on the wall, they are reversing the effects of gravity which will help to improve blood flow to upper parts of the body. It also helps to reduce swelling of feet and legs which is very common in pregnancy, due to increased fluid in the body and pressure from the growing uterus on various parts of the body. This pose has a very calming effect on the body and mind, especially the nervous system.
