As part of the Bangkok LGBTQ+ Film Festival, Ambassador Anna Hammargren attended the screening of the Swedish documentary Prejudice and Pride – 100 Years of Q***r Cinema in Sweden.

🎬 Directed by Eva Beling, the film takes us through a century of Swedish film history — seen through a q***r lens. We were honoured to have Director Beling present in Bangkok to share her insights and bring this important work to Thai audiences.

The Swedish Film Institute and the Film&TV Producers presented this spring’s Swedish feature film premieres. Documentaries dominate this film season. 🎬

The branches of the tree represent Fadime’s strength, her long, vibrant, winding hair. The branches stretches up towards the light and freedom, and each branch has its own free will, just as Fadime should have had. The winding roots symbolize her origin. In the trunk of the tree I have let a mirror become a sign for her face.
