Last night the kids and I landed in Bangkok. It hits differently being back this time. ☺️

This war has had a direct impact on us in the Gulf States. I’m still startled and anxious hearing thuds and bangs.

Its repercussions are sending out fierce and felt ripples throughout the world. Let us hope it will end soon! ☮️ 🕊️

We are on the first special repatriation flight from DOH - BKK.

I’m sitting on the plane on the tarmac at Hamad as I post this. We’ve taxied our way to ready position to take to the skies. Flight time was 10:40am. This was delayed from 9:40am. It’s now past 11am but I take it that authorities are taking their time checking radars that skies are fully clear for take-off. The Captain has just made an announcement that we are second in line to fly.

While checking-in an emergency alert violently shook phones and buzzed. We were asked to ditch our bags and run for shelter.

I feel safe in Qatar because the government has been so incredible capable and competent in intercepting incoming missiles. But the best place for kids to be is just out of a war zone so I am taking this option back to my homeland 🇹🇭

As I await the actual take-off, I’m nervous and tensed. And I am scared. But I know that I will land safe and sound later this evening! Pray for us until my next post please!
