Between the idea and this first prototype… it’s been almost a year.
I wasn’t even sure about posting it. I love the shape and the idea of a cannelé cup so much, but I still haven’t figured out the perfect glaze.
The real cannelé has that deep brown tone… and I don’t love brown 🥲
So this is me asking for help. I’ve been holding back from sharing it because I just can’t seem to find the right shade on my own.
On this one I used yellow… mostly because I have way too much of it from the raviolis sitting in my studio.
What do you think?
Should it be colorful?
Or should I stay true to the classic cannelé tone?

What’s more painful than dressing a toddler for winter? 😭❄️

As much as I love my ravioli spoon rests, I’m planning on working on other projects in 2026. As someone who loves creating, 2025 has been a challenging year, working with the same shape. I miss playing with clay, I miss the experimentation of making something new.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely proud of and grateful for what the ravioli have brought into my life and for the fact that they’ve enabled me to live off my art, I’ll never take this for granted.
I guess this year will be a bit more balanced, so these aren’t the last ravioli pictures you’ll see but I’ll definitely be creating and sharing new things soon.
