The two of us paint for pleasure. We love experimenting with colours on papers as well as on canvas.

Work in progress…

This is my 40*80 cm landscape painting. It’s super fun painting this. The colours that I used are yellow deep, yellow pale, burnt sienna, black, and white. I actually have absolutely no idea what the painting was when I started it. I liked it so much that I used it as my cover photo. Enjoy!

I changed the colour palette for this one. I added crimson red, black, burnt sienna to get this atmospheric impression of hellish heat under the summer sun in Bangkok.

This is my first-ever acrylic painting. I studied how to use acrylic and to play with the paint by watching SurajFineArts on YouTube. His extensive catalog of acrylic painting tutorials are very educational. The painting below is my favourite so far as it captures both the texture and depth of colours that are so unique to acrylic painting.

I accentuated, in this particular piece, the texture of the paints by using palette knife for painting. Instead of using brushes, I exploited how palette knife creates the texture of a painting, and brought the painting to its fullest potential by combing that with the use of thick paints.

The lake … this one was an experiment where I used dry brush technique to create foliage and add sparkling effects to the waters.

English cottages… what a lovely scene. I painted this by following Lois Davidson’s tutorial. The sky was still my weakest point. But I just love how this pen and wash painting was executed. Thank you Lois!!

This one was also inspired by Lois Davidson. This simple, leafless tree looks quite picturesque, standing atop the hillside meadow. I picked several deep and dark hues like burnt sienna, burnt umber, sap green and yellow orche to create such vibrancy. By using the sharp corner of a ruler, I pulled out some fine grass leaves. I debated whether I should put a bird or something in the sky but in the end I decided against it.
