Spent a half day exploring the historic Matsumoto Castle before catching the train to Tokyo! 🏯🚆 Such a stunning and well-preserved landmark. Can’t wait for more adventures!

We especially loved the Hida beef – the grilled steak was phenomenal. Tried horse sashimi and fresh local fish sashimi too. Quality and portion were amazing for the price! 🥩🐟

Staying at Hiratakan in Hirayu Onsen was an incredible experience! 🏯✨ The ryokan was spotless with fantastic amenities, just 200 meters from the bus stand to Kamikochi. Loved the indoor historical onsen!

Walking halfway through Kamikochi! 🚶‍♂️🌄 Stopped for lunch at Kamon Jigoya, a cozy spot for a quick rest. Enjoyed Ayu fish cooked on sticks over the irori fire.
