Not only because of Angkor Wat but also because of the relaxed vibe of the city and the friendly inhabitants.

Siem Reap has a beautiful brandnew l airport and good airline connections with many neighbouring countries. It's a great town and has more to offer than Angkor Wat only. During the Green-season it rains sometimes (like in Europe) but there is also a lot of sunshine, temperature is not too hot and hotelrates are lower. My favorite is Phum Khmer Lodge but I am not the only one as you can read in the enclosed article.
