A-Level Mathematics is much broader than many students expect.
It is not “just algebra” or “just calculus”.
A full A-Level Mathematics course combines three major pillars:
• Pure Mathematics — algebra, trigonometry, calculus, vectors, proof, logarithms, numerical methods and more
• Statistics — probability, distributions, hypothesis testing, data interpretation
• Mechanics — motion, forces, energy, momentum, modelling real physical systems
What makes A-Level challenging is not only the amount of content, but the ability to connect topics together inside unfamiliar problems.
Students are expected to:
✔ think analytically
✔ model real situations mathematically
✔ justify solutions logically
✔ combine multiple concepts in one question
✔ work accurately under exam pressure
This is why strong preparation is not about memorising methods.
It is about building mathematical thinking and learning how examiners design questions.
The students who achieve top grades usually master:
— structure
— pattern recognition
— clean mathematical communication
— problem-solving under time limits
A-Level Mathematics is one of the strongest foundations for:
Engineering • Economics • Computer Science • Physics • Finance • Data Science
One of the most useful skills in algebra: factorising cubic polynomials.
In this problem we:
• find the first root by guess & check
• use polynomial division
• reduce the cubic to a quadratic
• find all three roots step by step
A lot of students memorise the method without understanding WHY it works.
Here I explain the full logic behind the process.
Perfect for A-Level / SAT / AP students preparing for exams.
Complete the square without guessing.
Factor → complete the square → adjust outside the brackets.
Most mistakes happen right here.
Quick trick: take the middle coefficient and divide it by 2 — that’s your b in the identity. Then square it, add and subtract. Simple.
From the final form, we read transformations → minimum at (1, −1).
Then: intersection with a line, midpoint, gradient, and the final equation.
Clean structure = easy marks.

A-Level exam boards are NOT the same.
Most students think A-Level is one standard exam.
But in reality, there are different providers — and each has its own style.
Here are the 4 main ones:
🔹 Cambridge (CIE) — structured, logical, very clear
🔹 Pearson Edexcel — more applied, real-life focused
🔹 AQA — theory-heavy, lots of explanation
🔹 OCR — flexible, varied and less predictable
⸻
📊 The key difference is NOT difficulty.
It’s:
• how questions are written
• how marks are awarded
• what the examiners expect from you
⸻
👉 That’s why students struggle:
they learn the topic… but don’t understand the exam style.
And that’s exactly what I focus on —
not just teaching math, but teaching how to think for your specific exam board.

⸻
We prove a trigonometric identity step by step using smart transformations: apply the fundamental identity, simplify fractions, and rewrite everything in terms of tangent. The key is to break the expression down and recognize familiar patterns 👀

I prepare students for international exams:
A-Level / AP / SAT / GMAT
— A-Level — for UK & European university admissions
— AP — to earn US college credits
— SAT — a core university entrance test
— GMAT — for business school (MBA) admissions
📌 Clear and simple explanations
📌 Structured approach, not chaos
📌 Fully exam-focused preparation
